Web based solutions for road, rail and depot surveillance Using the Torch Camera with the mobile telephone network for connectivity makes short-term deployment of cameras possible. Without relying on fixed telephone lines and their associated lead time and contracts or the need for a fixed power supply, the Torch camera can be deployed in under 15 minutes and moved whenever it is required elsewhere. Depots and stations (bus and rail) that are remote or not staffed continually can be monitored and activities recorded. Alarms can be raised and an email sent to the site manager who can review the event before deciding how best to respond. The portable nature of the Torch camera particular lends itself to the deployment of the camera on a transport system whether pole or vehicle mounted.
