Web based solutions for hazardous and non-hazardous site surveillance The rapidly deployed Torch Camera units can be monitoring and recording activity on site after only a few minutes from being switched on. High resolution, evidential quality, images can capture activity on site raising not only an alarm to a prospective problem, but also enabling this activity to be monitored live and reviewed afterwards. Troublesome areas can be monitored automatically recording activity in specific areas with a record of site activity being collated. By utilising the highest resolution image it is possible to capture licence plates and even facial recognition. The presence of the camera can act as a deterrent in the first instance and any non-compliance can be captured. |

At critical national infrastructure sites such as dams, reservoirs and electricity substations the use of cameras to record events that can be played back is particularly useful, as it isn't always easy to install equipment at these sites. However, it isn't just critical national infrastructure that presents a problem of access or where it proves to simply not be cost effective to bring power or telephone lines to site. Remote sites often don't have anyone nearby, and for that reason they are vulnerable to break-ins, thefts and illegal dumping needing to be either continually or seasonally monitored. The Torch Camera fits into this application well. Using minimal power it is possible to install the Torch Camera with integrated 3G communication to monitor the site. Alarms can be generated and events recorded giving superior image quality in real time. The Torch Camera is particularly suitable for being powered with wind, solar and other renewable energies. When used with LED lighting the Torch Camera provides an around the clock solution. Hazardous sites can be monitored with the SeSys ATEX cameras. In environments were there is a build of flammable gasses, liquids and dust, this needs to be protected in the unlikely event of equipment failure. SeSys engineer their cameras to meet the ATEX and IECEx standards for Zone 1 and Zone 2 classification. Hazardous environments need to be monitored and to do so safely and quickly a camera can often provide this capability. There maybe other reasons to want to look quickly or to be able to do so remotely. SeSys offers a range of ATEX certified cameras to meet the requirements of all businesses with exposure to these environments including the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
